Frequently asked questions
What do you give a cyclist who already has all the kit?
Something that cannot be replaced by more equipment: an object that names their riding rather than equipping it. The cycling bracelet engraves the outline of their type of bike, and the route poster draws a ride they actually did — neither duplicates anything they own.
Which outline should I choose — city, road, gravel or mountain?
Road for a drop-bar bike, mountain for a knobbly-tyred off-road bike, gravel for the one that does both, city for a daily commuter. If in doubt, gravel is the most versatile and the most recognisable of the four.
Can a poster be made from a Strava ride?
Yes: export the ride as GPX from Strava (“Export GPX” on the activity page), then drop the file into the editor — the track, distance, elevation gain and duration are read from it. A library of well-known routes is there if you have no file.
Can the bracelet be worn while riding?
Yes: no clasp to undo, a 4 mm marine cord that sits comfortably under a glove and copes with sweat and rain. It comes off before the shower, for the cherry wood, which is a living material.
How far ahead should I order for Father’s Day?
Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday in June in the UK. Order ten days ahead: 48 h of engraving in the workshop, then six to seven days out of the Aveyron.
