Your household’s toilet roll, finally given the scientific study it deserves: “Papyrus domesticus”, as a natural history plate. Six numbered, captioned parts — the first sheet, always torn at an angle; the cardboard tube nobody throws out; the holder, empty since Tuesday — a cross-section showing which way it rolls, and the house verdict in large letters: over, or under.
You name the variety — “The Murphys”, “Nana’s House” — the year it’s been observed since and a motto if you’d like one: “Finish the roll, replace the roll.” The drawing follows your choice, with the paper hanging in front or behind. Four styles: naturalist’s plate, blue technical drawing, pop, clean. The preview updates as you type, and it’s exactly what gets printed.

A naturalist’s engraving on cream paper, a technical drawing on blue, bold pop colours with capital lettering, or clean black on white. The plate and its six captions are the same in all four.

What does the print show?

Toilet paper over or under: which is right?
No rule settles it, and that’s the point: every house has its own. Seth Wheeler’s 1891 US patent draws the paper going over, but its text doesn’t make that a rule. The print lets you choose, and the drawing follows your choice.
What can I personalise?
The variety name, up to 28 characters (“The Murphys”, “Nana’s House”), the official way, the year it’s been observed since and a motto of up to 48 characters, both optional, plus the style: pick one of four. The six captions stay the same: they’re the joke.
Which size works best for the loo?
A4 or 30 × 40 cm: you read them up close, and they’re the only two available framed, in black, white or natural wood. The plate reads like a page from an old field guide: at that size, the captions sit at eye level when you’re sitting down.
Is it a good housewarming gift?
