Full description
The two of you on a 1955 scooter, on a country road between sunflower fields: he is at the handlebars in a period helmet and goggles and a leather jacket, she sits behind in a khaki jacket, and a 2CV drives along a side road. From a photo of the two of you, an artificial intelligence replaces the couple of the poster: their faces, ages, hairstyles, beards, glasses and builds. The period clothes, the scooter and the landscape stay those of the poster.
The handwritten line and the banner at the bottom are yours: “Still on the same road”, “30 years married”, your two first names, a date. Write nothing and the poster keeps its original motto. In your photo the man becomes the rider and the woman the passenger.
You upload the photo and the preview appears in about thirty seconds. You see what will be printed before you order: that image, and no other, is the one printed. It is made by an artificial intelligence and a likeness is not guaranteed; the photo is never published and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file. You get three tries per photo.
Magnat-Debon is our brand: a French marque founded in Grenoble in 1893, first for bicycles. Taken over by the Dijon maker Terrot in the 1920s, it was still selling scooters in the 1950s, such as the 125 cm³ S25: this poster is in the spirit of the advertisements of the time.
- 250 g matte paper, pigment inks, printed to order.
- Five sizes: A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm.
- Optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural.
- Or the printable file: all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG, by download link.

How it works
- You upload your photo
A clear photo of the two of you — a man and a woman — both faces clearly visible, front-on or three-quarter view. On the poster the man becomes the rider and the woman the passenger: their faces, ages, hairstyles, beards, glasses and builds carry over, and the background of the photo disappears.
- You write your text
The line on the right and the banner at the bottom, if you like: two first names, a date, an occasion. Write nothing and the poster keeps its original motto. The poster appears in about thirty seconds.
- Order what you've seen
The image on screen is the one we print, in our workshop in Aveyron. You get three tries per photo.
- We print in Aveyron
To order, on 250 g matte paper: in our Aveyron workshop, whatever the size, and every poster is checked there before it ships. Or you receive the download link for the file by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions
What does the personalised vintage scooter poster show?
The two of you on a 1955 scooter, on a country road between sunflower fields, with a village and the sea in the distance: he is at the handlebars, in a period helmet and goggles and a leather jacket; she sits behind in a khaki jacket and jeans. In your photo the man becomes the rider and the woman the passenger: their faces, ages, hairstyles, beards, glasses and builds carry over. The period clothes, the scooter and the landscape stay those of the poster.
Which photo should I choose for two people?
A sharp, well-lit photo of the two of you, a man and a woman, front-on or three-quarter view, with both faces clearly visible and no sunglasses. A selfie of the two of you, a wedding or holiday photo usually works — JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB. The poster is designed for a man and a woman: with two women, two men, one person or other people in the photo, the result is not guaranteed; you see it before you order.
Will the poster really look like us?
The poster is made by an artificial intelligence in about thirty seconds: it carries over your faces, ages, hairstyles, beards, glasses and builds, but a likeness is not guaranteed. You see the poster before you order, with three tries per photo; a refusal or a fault does not count as a try. A sharper, front-on, well-lit photo usually gives a better result. Once you have ordered, the poster you saw is the one that is printed; like any personalised poster it cannot be returned, except for a defect or an error on our side.
What text can I write on the poster?
Two places: the line on the right, in handwriting (up to 48 characters), and the banner at the bottom, in capitals, which takes your two first names (36 characters) and a caption (24 characters) — a date, a wedding anniversary. Everything is optional: with no text the poster keeps its original motto. Your text is printed exactly as you type it and can be changed at any time without redoing the poster. Ideas are offered for a wedding anniversary or Valentine’s Day.
Is this an official poster of the brand whose name it carries?
Yes, it is our brand: Magnat-Debon belongs to us, and the poster is in the spirit of old advertising posters. The scooter, the clothes and the landscape are drawn by an artificial intelligence: it is not a faithful reproduction of a particular model. The title, the “SCOOTERS DE FRANCE” line, the column of mottos and the year on the plate (1955) belong to the poster, in French whatever the language of the site, and do not change.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is used only to make your poster. It is stored in a private space, never published, and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file — together with the poster created. The location data of a phone photo is removed on upload. To be transformed, the photo is passed to an artificial intelligence service (Google), which receives it for that purpose only.
Which sizes and frames are available?
A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find. An optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural, with acrylic glass; the larger sizes are delivered rolled, to be framed at home. The poster is 2:3: except on the 40 × 60, which has the same ratio, a thin strip of cream paper remains on each side, and the image is never cropped.
What paper is the poster printed on?
250 g/m² satin matte paper, light-resistant pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a long rigid cardboard box; the A4 goes flat in a cardboard sleeve, and a framed poster in a cardboard box.
Can I receive the file instead of the poster?
Yes. The printable file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, via a download link sent after payment, so you can print it wherever you like.
How long does it take?
Printed and dispatched within 48 hours, then delivered to your home or to a pick-up point — the 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 can only be delivered to your home. The download link for the printable file is sent the same day.
What do we know about the Magnat-Debon brand?
Magnat-Debon is a French marque born in Grenoble in 1893 from the watchmaker Joseph Magnat and the engineer Louis Debon. It first built bicycles, then its first motorbike in 1902 with a De Dion-Bouton engine, and its own engines from 1905; one of its machines won the Mont Ventoux hill climb in 1905. In the early 1920s it came under the wing of the Dijon maker Terrot, which kept it for a long time as a second marque; production ended in the early 1960s, after Peugeot took over Terrot. The 125 cm³ S25 scooter (around 1953 to 1957, according to collectors) was the Magnat-Debon version of the Terrot VMS 2. Dates vary a little from one source to another. Magnat-Debon is our brand today.
