MARCEL ET LES BLONDES

Personalised soundwave print — the shape of a voice, a first word, a voice message

Create my print

The wave is your file’s, read in your browser: the preview is exactly what will be printed. The sound itself is not on the poster, only its shape.

Tax included. Shipping €3.90 in France and the European Union, free from €49.

The shape of a sound as a large print: a baby’s first “mummy”, an “I love you” left on an answerphone, a grandfather’s voice. You add the audio file, your browser draws its wave, and only that shape is printed: the sound never leaves your device.

First the object — medium, size, frame — then its content, which you watch take shape in the preview.

Full description

A baby’s first “mummy”, an “I love you” left on an answerphone, a grandfather’s voice, wedding vows: the shape of that sound, drawn large. You add the audio file on the product page, your browser reads it and draws its wave — each slice of the sound becomes a bar, or a point on a ring, as tall as it really was loud — and the poster is printed with the title you choose, a first name, a date and a line if you wish.

Your audio file is neither sent nor kept: it is read in your browser, and only the shape of the wave, about a hundred numbers, goes with the order. The poster carries no link and no code to hear the sound again: it keeps the shape, you keep the file. If your browser cannot read the format, the page says so and draws nothing. Four styles: rounded bars, ring, stacked lines, smooth gradient.

Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, on 250 g matte paper, from A4 to 70 × 100 cm.

The poster, once printed

  • A cream poster with a terracotta soundwave reading “Premier « maman »” hangs in a wooden frame on the nursery wall beside a mother holding her talking baby; shown in French.
  • A mother holds a cream soundwave poster in a wooden frame while her baby looks up at her with an open mouth; the poster reads “Premier « maman »” and is shown in French.
  • Poster on cream paper: “Soundwave”, “Premier « maman »”, “Zoé · 12 March 2026”; a wave of rounded terracotta bars, four tall peaks separated by silences, over a track of pale bars; from 0:00 to 0:06; “Elle l’a dit en regardant le chat.”, shown in the French version
  • Midnight-blue poster: “Message laissé à Papa” in capitals, “Papa · 24 December 2025”; the wave coiled into a ring of golden bars around a disc that reads 0:08 and “durée”; “Laissé à 6 h 12 sur le répondeur, jamais effacé.”, shown in the French version
  • Black poster: nine stacked white lines, each a slice of the voice, in peaks and troughs; “LA VOIX DE MAMIE” in spaced capitals, “Odette · 16 June 2019”, from 0:00 to 0:14, “Un dimanche de juin, après le café.”, shown in the French version
  • Pale pink poster: “Son premier rire” in bold, “Léo · 2 September 2026”; a symmetrical shape in a coral-to-violet gradient, very tall at the start then settling, from 0:00 to 0:05; “Deux secondes, et tout a changé.”, shown in the French version

How it works

  1. A sound

Add a voice message, a recording or a song (mp3, m4a, wav…). Your browser reads it and draws its wave; the file never leaves your device.

  2. A title, a style

Give it a title — “First ‘mummy’”, “I love you” —, pick one of four styles, then add a first name, a date and a line if you like.

  3. We print in Aveyron

To order, on 250 g matte paper: in our Aveyron workshop, whatever the size, and every poster is checked there before it ships. Or you receive the download link for the file by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions

What is an original gift for someone whose voice you want to keep: a baby’s first word, an “I love you”, a grandparent’s message?

A “Soundwave” print: the shape of the sound, drawn large. You add the audio file (a voice message, a recording), your browser draws its wave, and the poster is printed with a title — “First ‘mummy’” —, a first name, a date and a line if you wish. It is made to order.

How do I turn a voice message into a poster?

Find or record the audio file, add it on the product page and give it a title: the wave is drawn at once, in four styles to choose from, and that is what is printed. A phone voice message will do, as long as your browser can read it.

Is my audio file sent to you?

No. The file is read in your browser, on your device; it is neither sent nor kept. Only the shape of the wave — about a hundred numbers — and the length go with the order, so that the poster is drawn identically at printing.

Which audio formats work?

Whatever your browser can read: usually mp3, wav, m4a, ogg and flac, up to 40 MB. If the file cannot be read, the page says so in plain words and draws nothing: try an mp3 or a wav, another browser, or pick the example wave.

Can the sound be played from the poster, with a QR code?

No, on purpose: the poster carries no link and no code. A link to a sound hosted somewhere lasts only as long as the service does, and a framed poster should last longer. The poster keeps the shape of the sound; you keep the file at home.

What exactly does the wave show?

The sound cut into slices of equal length, from start to end: each bar, or each point of the ring, is as tall as its slice is loud, the loudest slice taking the full height. It is not an illustration: a different sound gives a different wave.

What if my sound is very short, or very long?

Both fill the poster. A one-second word draws a few big, well-spaced bars; a five-minute song a dense wave you read like a landscape. The length is written on the poster, from 0:00 to the end.

What happens if the file is silent?

The wave is flat, and the page warns you before you order. The poster is still drawn, but it is probably not the file you were looking for.

Do I need a date or a first name?

No. Only the sound and the title are required; the first name, the date and the line (a transcript, a word) are optional, and the poster stays balanced without them.

Is what I see what I will receive?

Yes: the preview is built by the same editor as the print, and a “Check your poster” screen opens before the basket. The title and the line are printed exactly as written.

Which sizes and frames?

A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find. Optional wooden frame on the A4 and 30 × 40, in black, white or natural, with acrylic glass; the larger sizes ship rolled, to frame at home.

What paper is the poster printed on?

250 g/m² satin matte paper, lightfast pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a sturdy long cardboard box; the A4 travels flat, in a stiff card envelope.

Can I get the file instead of the poster?

Yes. The print-ready file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and as a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, by a download link sent after payment, to print wherever you like.

How long does it take?

Your poster is dispatched within 48 hours, then delivered in six to seven days to Ireland and the rest of the EU (four to five in France) — to your home or a pickup point, home delivery only for the 50 × 70 and 70 × 100. For a fixed date, allow ten days outside France. The download link for the print-ready file is sent as soon as payment is confirmed.
