Full description
You, as a rider of 1929, on a touring motorbike with a black and sky-blue tank, a golden headlamp and a long chrome exhaust, along a lakeside road with a village on the water: leather jacket, aviator goggles round your neck, scarf in the wind. From a photo, an artificial intelligence replaces the rider of the poster: their face, age, hairstyle, beard, glasses and build. The period clothes, the bike and the landscape stay those of the poster.
The handwritten line and the banner at the bottom are yours: “Happy Father’s Day!”, “Happy birthday Pierre!”, a first name, an age, a year. Write nothing and the poster keeps its original motto.
You upload the photo and the preview appears in about thirty seconds. You see what will be printed before you order: that image, and no other, is the one printed. It is made by an artificial intelligence and a likeness is not guaranteed; the photo is never published and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file. You get three tries per photo.
Magnat-Debon is our brand: a French marque founded in Grenoble in 1893. In the 1920s it came under the wing of Terrot, of Dijon, which went on selling motorbikes under the Magnat-Debon name: this poster is in the spirit of the advertisements of those years.

How it works
- You upload the photo
A clear photo of one person, face clearly visible, front-on or three-quarter view. Their face, age, hairstyle, beard, glasses and build replace the rider’s on the poster; the background of the photo disappears.
- You write your text
The line on the right and the banner at the bottom, if you like: a first name, an age, an occasion. Write nothing and the poster keeps its original motto. The poster appears in about thirty seconds.
- Order what you've seen
The image on screen is the one we print, in our workshop in Aveyron. You get three tries per photo.
- We print in Aveyron
To order, on 250 g matte paper: in our Aveyron workshop, whatever the size, and every poster is checked there before it ships. Or you receive the download link for the file by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions
What does the personalised vintage motorbike poster show?
You, as a rider from another age, on a motorbike from 1919 or 1929, speeding along a mountain road beside a lake: aviator goggles (and a leather helmet on the 1919 model), scarf in the wind, gloves and boots. Two versions: 1919, in a long leather coat; 1929, in a leather jacket on a black and sky-blue machine. Your face, age, hairstyle, beard, glasses and build replace the rider’s; the period clothes, the bike and the landscape stay those of the poster.
Which photo should I choose to become the rider?
A sharp, well-lit photo of one person, front-on or three-quarter view, with the face clearly visible and no sunglasses or helmet. A portrait or a selfie is enough — JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB. The background and the clothes in the photo disappear: only the face and the build carry over to the poster. The poster is designed for one person: with several people in the photo, the result is not guaranteed.
Will the poster really look like me?
The poster is made by an artificial intelligence in about thirty seconds: it carries over your face, age, hairstyle, beard, glasses and build, but a likeness is not guaranteed. You see the poster before you order, with three tries per photo; a refusal or a fault does not count as a try. A sharper, front-on, well-lit photo usually gives a better result. Once you have ordered, the poster you saw is the one that is printed; like any personalised poster it cannot be returned, except for a defect or an error on our side.
What text can I write on the poster?
Two places: the line on the right, in handwriting (up to 48 characters), and the banner at the bottom, in capitals, which takes a first name (24 characters) and a caption (24 characters) — an age, an occasion. Everything is optional: with no text the poster keeps its original motto. Your text is printed exactly as you type it and can be changed at any time without redoing the poster. Ideas are offered for a birthday, Father’s Day or a retirement.
Is this an official poster of the brand whose name it carries?
Yes, it is our brand: Magnat-Debon belongs to us, and the poster is in the spirit of the advertising posters of old French motorbike makers. The bike, the clothes and the landscape are drawn by an artificial intelligence: it is not a faithful reproduction of a particular model. The title, the “MOTOS DE FRANCE” line, the column of mottos and the year on the plate (1919 or 1929) belong to the poster, in French whatever the language of the site, and do not change.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is used only to make your poster. It is stored in a private space, never published, and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file — together with the poster created. The location data of a phone photo is removed on upload. To be transformed, the photo is passed to an artificial intelligence service (Google), which receives it for that purpose only.
Which sizes and frames are available?
A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find. An optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural, with acrylic glass; the larger sizes are delivered rolled, to be framed at home. The poster is 2:3: except on the 40 × 60, which has the same ratio, a thin strip of cream paper remains on each side, and the image is never cropped.
What paper is the poster printed on?
250 g/m² satin matte paper, light-resistant pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a long rigid cardboard box; the A4 goes flat in a cardboard sleeve, and a framed poster in a cardboard box.
Can I receive the file instead of the poster?
Yes. The printable file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, via a download link sent after payment, so you can print it wherever you like.
How long does it take?
Printed and dispatched within 48 hours, then delivered to your home or to a pick-up point — the 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 can only be delivered to your home. The download link for the printable file is sent the same day.
What do we know about the Magnat-Debon brand?
Magnat-Debon is a French marque born in Grenoble in 1893 from the watchmaker Joseph Magnat and the engineer Louis Debon. It first built bicycles, then its first motorbike in 1902 with a De Dion-Bouton engine, and its own engines from 1905; one of its machines won the Mont Ventoux hill climb in 1905. In the early 1920s it came under the wing of the Dijon maker Terrot, which kept it for a long time as a second marque; production ended in the early 1960s, after Peugeot took over Terrot. Dates vary a little from one source to another. Magnat-Debon is our brand today.
