Full description
You at the handlebars of a red scooter on the French Riviera: yellow check dress, red polka-dot scarf in the wind, a road along the sea, sailing boats in the distance and five men’s faces in the sky, as in the advertising posters of old. From a photo, an artificial intelligence replaces the rider of the poster: her face, age, hairstyle, glasses and build. The clothes, the scooter and the landscape stay those of the poster.
The title at the top is yours: “Our scooter…” becomes “Lea and her scooter”, “Mum at full speed”, “Happy birthday Lea”. Write nothing and the poster keeps its original title.
You upload the photo and the preview appears in about thirty seconds. You see what will be printed before you order: that image, and no other, is the one printed. It is made by an artificial intelligence and a likeness is not guaranteed; the photo is never published and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file. You get three tries per photo.
Magnat-Debon is our brand: a French marque founded in Grenoble in 1893, first for bicycles. Taken over by the Dijon maker Terrot in the 1920s, it was still selling scooters in the 1950s, such as the 125 cm³ S25: this poster, a red scooter on the Riviera, is in the spirit of the advertisements of the time.
- 250 g matte paper, pigment inks, printed to order.
- Five sizes: A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm.
- Optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural.
- Or the printable file: all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG, by download link.

How it works
- You upload your photo
A clear photo of you, with your face clearly visible, facing the camera or at three quarters. On the poster you take the place of the rider: your face, age, hairstyle, glasses and build are kept, and the background of your photo disappears.
- You write your title
The title at the top, if you wish: a first name, an occasion, a line. Write nothing and the poster keeps “Our scooter…”. The poster appears in about thirty seconds.
- Order what you've seen
The image on screen is the one we print, in our workshop in Aveyron. You get three tries per photo.
- We print in Aveyron
To order, on 250 g matte paper: in our Aveyron workshop, whatever the size, and every poster is checked there before it ships. Or you receive the download link for the file by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions
What does the personalised Riviera scooter poster show?
You at the handlebars of a red scooter on the French Riviera: yellow check dress, red polka-dot scarf in the wind, a road along the sea, sailing boats in the distance, and five men’s faces in the sky, as in the advertising posters of old. From your photo, you take the place of the rider: your face, age, hairstyle, glasses and build are kept. The clothes, the scooter and the landscape stay those of the poster.
Which photo should I choose?
A clear photo of you, well lit, facing the camera or at three quarters, with your face clearly visible and no sunglasses. A portrait or a selfie will usually do — JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB. The closer the photo was taken, the better the likeness. With several people in the photo the result is not guaranteed; you see it before you order.
Will the poster really look like me?
The poster is made by an artificial intelligence, in about thirty seconds: it keeps your face, age, hairstyle, glasses and build, but a likeness is not guaranteed — a face painted at this size never has the precision of a photograph. You see the poster before you order, with three tries per photo; a refusal or a failure does not count as a try. Once you have ordered, the poster you saw is the one that is printed; like any personalised poster it cannot be taken back, except for a fault or a mistake on our part.
What text can I write on the poster?
One place only: the title at the top, which replaces “Our scooter…” (30 characters at most), written in capitals — a first name, an occasion, a line. It is optional: with no text, the poster keeps its original title. Your text is printed as you type it and can be changed at any time without making the poster again. Ideas are offered for a birthday or Mother’s Day.
Is this an official poster of the brand whose name it carries?
Yes, it is our brand: Magnat-Debon belongs to us, and the poster is in the spirit of old advertising posters. The scooter, the clothes and the landscape are drawn by an artificial intelligence: it is not a faithful reproduction of a particular model. The Magnat-Debon logo at the bottom and the five faces in the sky are those of the poster and do not change.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is used only to make your poster. It is stored in a private space, never published, and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file — together with the poster created. The location data of a phone photo is removed on upload. To be transformed, the photo is passed to an artificial intelligence service (Google), which receives it for that purpose only.
Which sizes and frames?
A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find. Optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural, with acrylic glazing; the large sizes are delivered rolled, to be framed at home. The poster is 3:4, the ratio of the 30 × 40: it fills the whole sheet there; on the other sizes a strip of cream paper remains at the top and bottom, and the image is never cropped.
What paper is the poster printed on?
250 g/m² satin matte paper, light-resistant pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a long rigid cardboard box; the A4 goes flat in a cardboard sleeve, and a framed poster in a cardboard box.
Can I receive the file instead of the poster?
Yes. The printable file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, via a download link sent after payment, so you can print it wherever you like.
How long does it take?
Printed and dispatched within 48 hours, then delivered to your home or to a pick-up point — the 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 can only be delivered to your home. The download link for the printable file is sent the same day.
What do we know about the Magnat-Debon brand?
Magnat-Debon is a French marque born in Grenoble in 1893 from the watchmaker Joseph Magnat and the engineer Louis Debon. It first built bicycles, then its first motorbike in 1902 with a De Dion-Bouton engine, and its own engines from 1905; one of its machines won the Mont Ventoux hill climb in 1905. In the early 1920s it came under the wing of the Dijon maker Terrot, which kept it for a long time as a second marque; production ended in the early 1960s, after Peugeot took over Terrot. The 125 cm³ S25 scooter (around 1953 to 1957, according to collectors) was the Magnat-Debon version of the Terrot VMS 2. Dates vary a little from one source to another. Magnat-Debon is our brand today.
