Full description
Your cat painted in watercolour from their photo: their eyes, their ears, their whiskers, the colour of the coat, a soft wash of colour around them and a few splashes, on textured paper. Their name can be written underneath, with a line of text if you like.
It is also a way to remember a cat who has passed: what’s left is photos on a phone, and the wish for something to hang on the wall. Your cat’s name goes underneath, with the years if you like.
You upload their photo, choose a palette — sage and ochre, powder pink, ocean blue or terracotta — and their portrait appears in about thirty seconds. You see what will be printed before you order: that image, and no other, is the one that goes to print. The portrait is made by an artificial intelligence; the photo is never published, and we delete it thirty days after your order ships — or after purchase, for the print-ready file.
- 250 g matte paper, pigment inks, printed to order.
- Five sizes: A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm.
- Optional wooden frame on the A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural.
- Or the print-ready file: all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG, by download link.

How it works
- Upload their photo
A sharp photo where your cat's face is clearly visible, head-on or three-quarter view, with the eyes and whiskers showing. Only the cat is painted: people and the background disappear.
- Pick a palette
Sage and ochre, powder pink, ocean blue or terracotta. The portrait appears in about thirty seconds.
- Order what you've seen
The image on screen is the one we print, in our workshop in Aveyron. You get three tries per photo.
- We print in Aveyron
To order, on 250 g matte paper: in our Aveyron workshop, whatever the size, and every poster is checked there before it ships. Or you receive the download link for the file by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions
What does the watercolour cat portrait poster show?
Your cat painted in watercolour from their photo: the face, the ears, the whiskers and the colour of the coat, surrounded by a soft wash of colours and a few splashes, on textured paper. Their name can be written underneath in a handwritten script. Four palettes to choose from: sage and ochre, powder pink, ocean blue or terracotta.
Which photo should I choose for the portrait?
A sharp photo where the head is clearly visible, head-on or three-quarter view, with the eyes and nose unobstructed. A cat won’t pose, so get in close, in daylight, when they look at you. For a black cat, a well-lit photo where the eyes and nose stand out gives a better result. A phone photo is enough — JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB. Only the cat is painted: people and the background disappear.
Is the portrait made by artificial intelligence?
Yes. An artificial intelligence paints the portrait from your photo in about thirty seconds: it is not a hand-painted work. You see the result before you order, and exactly that image is what we print, in our workshop in Aveyron — nothing is redone or retouched between the screen and the paper.
What if the portrait doesn't look like my cat?
You get three tries per photo, with the palette of your choice; a sharper, head-on photo usually gives a better result. The name is written separately: you can change it at any time without redoing the portrait. Once the order is placed, the portrait you saw is the one that is printed; like any personalised poster, it cannot be returned, except for a fault or an error on our side.
Can I get a portrait of a cat who has passed away?
Yes. When a cat is gone, what’s left is photos on a phone, and the wish for something to hang on the wall rather than scroll through. The portrait is painted from a photo of your cat and aims to keep what it shows: the coat, the ears, the eyes, the markings. Your cat’s name goes underneath in handwriting, and you can add a line of text under it, such as the years (“2009 – 2024”) or a few words of your own: you see it before you order.
Which photo should I use if I only have old ones?
The one where your cat looks at you, or nearly: head-on or in three-quarter view, eyes and nose clearly visible. An old photo or one taken on a phone can be enough; a blurry one, taken from far away or against the light, gives a less faithful portrait. The portrait is painted by artificial intelligence, so it may not look quite like your cat: you see it before you order, in about thirty seconds, and you get three tries per photo.
How do I give this portrait to someone who has just lost their cat?
There is no right moment for everyone: some people like to receive a picture of their cat straight away, others need time. If you’re unsure, wait a little. When the time comes, ask for a photo of the cat, sharp and head-on if possible: people are touched that you thought of it, and a sharp photo makes a more faithful portrait. You see the portrait before you pay: if it doesn’t look like the cat, try another photo rather than giving it as it is. A short note with the cat’s name says more than a fine speech: “Here’s Miso.”
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is only used to make your poster. It is stored in a private space, never published, and we delete it thirty days after shipping — or after purchase, for the print-ready file — along with the painted portrait. Location data in a phone photo is removed as soon as it is uploaded. To be painted, the photo is sent to an artificial intelligence service (Google), which receives it for that purpose only.
Which sizes and frames?
A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find (IKEA, HEMA, Action, Desenio). Optional wooden frame on the A4 and 30 × 40, in black, white or natural, with acrylic glass; the larger sizes ship rolled, to frame at home.
What paper is the poster printed on?
250 g/m² satin matte paper, lightfast pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a sturdy long cardboard box; the A4 travels flat, in a stiff card envelope, and a framed poster in a cardboard box.
Can I get the file instead of the poster?
Yes. The print-ready file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and as a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, by a download link sent after payment, to print wherever you like.
How long does it take?
Printed within 48 hours, then delivered to your home or a pickup point — home delivery only for the 50 × 70 and 70 × 100. The download link for the print-ready file is sent the same day.
