Personalised street art family poster — your family photo as stencils on a graffiti wall

Your family as detailed black-and-white stencils, blended into the wall with no outline, on a textured concrete wall covered in orange, sunshine-yellow, turquoise and black spray paint, splashes, drips and graphic tags, with crowns, stars and graffiti shapes around everyone. From the photo, the faces, ages, expressions and number of people carry over. There is no text on the poster.

A sharp, well-lit photo of the whole family, front-on or three-quarter view, with every face clearly visible and no sunglasses. A party, holiday or family-meal photo usually works — JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB. People close together work better than people spread out, and the closer the photo is taken, the better the likeness.

The poster is made by an artificial intelligence, in about thirty seconds: it carries over the faces, ages, hairstyles, beards and glasses, but a likeness is not guaranteed — a stencil portrait is never as precise as a photo. You see the poster before you order, with three tries per photo; a refusal or a failure does not count as a try. Once you order, the poster you saw is the one that is printed; like any personalised poster, it cannot be taken back, except for a defect or a mistake on our part.

No: the poster carries no text, and there is nothing to type. The tags on the wall are graffiti marks invented by the image: they may look like letters, but they say nothing and cannot be chosen. Our tests range from three to seven people — grandparents and three grandchildren, parents and two children, seven people around a table — and everyone in the photo was painted. A dog lying at a family’s feet stayed on the poster. With more people, or tiny faces in a photo taken from far away, the result is not guaranteed; what surrounds the people in the photo (a table, a chair) may partly remain. You see it before you order, with three tries per photo.

A little. The poster is created in 2:3, the ratio of the 40 × 60, and fills the whole sheet. On the other sizes, a little of the top and bottom is cropped — 11% at most on the 30 × 40, 6% on the A4 — and the faces are requested in the centre. There is never a white margin around it.

Use a photo of them or of the whole family that you already have: a meal, a holiday, a wedding — or ask a relative for one. The sharper, front-on and better lit it is, the more faithful the poster. You see it before you pay: if it doesn’t look like them, try another photo rather than giving it as it is.

It is used only to make your poster. It is stored in a private space, never published, and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file — together with the poster created. The location data of a phone photo is removed on upload. To be transformed, the photo is passed to an artificial intelligence service (Google), which receives it for that purpose only.

A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find. An optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural, with acrylic glass; the larger sizes are delivered rolled, to be framed at home.

250 g/m² satin matte paper, light-resistant pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a long rigid cardboard box; the A4 goes flat in a cardboard sleeve, and a framed poster in a cardboard box.

Yes. The printable file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, via a download link sent after payment, so you can print it wherever you like.
