Its photo

Choose a sharp, well-lit photo, front-on or three-quarter view, where the muzzle, eyes and ears show clearly. Only the animal is used: the background of the photo disappears. For a pet who is no longer here, choose the one where they look at you.

Private photo, never published, deleted thirty days after dispatch (or after purchase, for the printable file). The poster created is deleted with it.

Its portrait

The portrait is made by an artificial intelligence from your photo, in about thirty seconds. Each photo gets three tries, and the result is never the same twice; the image you see is the one that will be printed. The name and the line of text are written separately: you can change them without redoing the portrait.

Its name and the headline

Both optional, written exactly as you type them and placed on the poster. You can change them at any time, without redoing the portrait.

Full description

Your dog or cat on a magazine cover: a studio fashion portrait, shoulders in close-up. Before the portrait is made, you choose the outfit — a red beret, a silk scarf or big star sunglasses — and the background colour: powder pink, white, sky blue or pale yellow. From a photo, an artificial intelligence makes the portrait: its breed, coat, eyes and muzzle carry over.

Its name is the magazine title, in big capitals at the top of the page, and a red band carries the headline you write: “The Exclusive Interview”, “Its Life, Its Naps, Its Secrets”. Real text, written exactly as you typed it: you can change it at any time without redoing the portrait.

The image fills the whole sheet, from A4 to 70 × 100 cm: on the 30 × 40 a little of the top and bottom is cropped, never the animal’s head or the title.

You upload the photo and the preview appears in about thirty seconds. You see what will be printed before you order: that image, and no other, is the one that goes to print. It is made by an artificial intelligence, and a likeness is not guaranteed; only the animal is used, and the rest of the photo disappears. The photo is never published and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file. You get three tries per photo. Its name and the line that goes with it are real text, written exactly as you typed them: you can change them at any time without redoing the portrait.

How it works

  1. You upload its photo

A sharp photo where your dog’s or cat’s head shows clearly, front-on or three-quarter view. Only the animal is used: the background of the photo disappears.

  2. You choose its outfit and the background

Beret, scarf or star sunglasses, on a powder-pink, white, sky-blue or pale-yellow background, then its name (the magazine title) and the cover headline. The portrait appears in about thirty seconds.

  3. Order what you've seen

The image on screen is the one we print, in our workshop in Aveyron. You get three tries per photo.

  4. We print in Aveyron

To order, on 250 g matte paper: in our Aveyron workshop, whatever the size, and every poster is checked there before it ships. Or you receive the download link for the file by e-mail.

Frequently asked questions

What does the magazine cover pet poster show?

Your dog or cat as a studio fashion portrait, head and shoulders in close-up, on the background of your choice (powder pink, white, sky blue or pale yellow), in the outfit of your choice. Its name is written in big capitals at the top, like a magazine title, and a red band at the foot of the poster carries the cover headline.

Is the magazine title my pet’s name?

Yes: the name you type becomes the magazine title, at the top of the cover. Above it, the line “The magazine for four-legged stars” is fixed. A short name (nine letters or fewer) keeps its full size; a longer one is tightened.

Which outfits can I choose?

Three: a red beret, a patterned silk scarf or big star sunglasses. The outfit is chosen before the portrait is made: to see another, you redo the portrait (three tries per photo).

Which background colours can I choose?

Four: powder pink, white, sky blue or pale yellow, all light enough for the magazine title to stay easy to read. The background is chosen before the portrait is made, along with the outfit: to see another, you redo the portrait (three tries per photo). The background is painted together with the animal: in our tests, white, sky blue and pink came out the most even; with yellow, a band of a slightly different shade can appear at the bottom of the image, in which case you simply redo the portrait.

Which photo should I choose?

A sharp photo where you can see its head, muzzle and eyes clearly, front-on or three-quarter view, in daylight. A phone photo is enough — JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 25 MB. Only the animal is used: in our tests, people, the lead and the background of the photo did not appear on the poster.

Is the portrait made by an artificial intelligence?

Yes. An artificial intelligence makes the portrait from your photo, in about thirty seconds: it is neither a painting nor a drawing made by hand. You see the result before you order, and exactly that image is printed, in our workshop in Aveyron — nothing is redone or retouched between the screen and the paper.

What if the portrait doesn’t look like my pet?

You get three tries per photo; a sharper, front-on photo usually gives a better result, but a likeness is never guaranteed. The name and the line of text are written separately: you can change them at any time without redoing the portrait. Once you have ordered, the portrait you saw is the one that is printed; like any personalised poster, it cannot be taken back, except for a defect or a mistake on our part.

What happens to the photo I upload?

It is used only to make your poster. It is stored in a private space, never published, and we delete it thirty days after dispatch — or after purchase, for the printable file — together with the portrait. The location data of a phone photo is removed on upload. To make the portrait, the photo is passed to an artificial intelligence service (Google), which receives it for that purpose only.

Which sizes and frames are available?

A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm: standard frame sizes, easy to find. An optional wooden frame on A4 and 30 × 40, black, white or natural, with acrylic glass; the larger sizes are delivered rolled, to be framed at home. The image fills the whole sheet: on the 30 × 40, a little of the top and bottom is cropped.

What paper is the poster printed on?

250 g/m² satin matte paper, light-resistant pigment inks. Printed to order in our workshop in Aveyron, whatever the size. Shipped rolled, in a long rigid cardboard box; the A4 goes flat in a cardboard sleeve, and a framed poster in a cardboard box.

Can I receive the file instead of the poster?

Yes. The printable file contains all five sizes, each as a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG — ten files in all, via a download link sent after payment, so you can print it wherever you like.

How long does it take?

Printed and dispatched within 48 hours, then delivered to your home or to a pick-up point — the 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 can only be delivered to your home. The download link for the printable file is sent the same day.
